3.10 BSCC Resolution and Facility Sublease

Requested Action:

Adopt a resolution executing the Facility Sublease, and execute the sublease between the Board of State Community Corrections (BSCC),  and the County of Trinity.
Fiscal Impact:

No fiscal impact.
Summary:

On April 20, 2017 the County of Trinity, the State Public Works Board (SPWB) and the State Board of Community Corrections (BSCC) entered into a Project Delivery and Construction agreement for the construction of the new Trinity County Jail.

 

On December 3, 2018 the County entered into a ground lease with BSCC for the project site. 

 

The jail project is now complete and operable.

Discussion:

SPWB intends to provide long-term financing for the jail project through the issuance and sale of lease revenue bonds.  Upon issuance of the bonds, the SPWB will enter into a Facility lease with BSCC for the site and facility.  BSCC will then enter into a Facility Sublease with the County.
